Melody Deldjou Fard was born in Iran, but since the age of 15 she had been living in The Netherlands.
She is interested in controversial social themes of the human fragility and its interaction with contemporary society. She describes her design as a bridge between the conceptual Dutch design and a metaphorical Persian poem. On 24th Hyeres festival she presented her collection ‘Body merging’- exploring the theme of organ theft. Interpreting such a delicate subject she made 7 looks of semi-transparent, pale-coloured garments with abstract forms placed between layers of fabrics.
